The throwing disc they said would never fly.
Designed by Bill Cowles and partner WIlliam DiMotta, the Hela 2.0 and 2.0 Sensor is the next generation Hela disc. Also not the right shape (not round) and doesn't have an airfoil, we somehow managed to engineer a lighter-weight throwing disc that effortlessly flies 100+ meters with accuracy in higher wind conditions.
(Design, Engineering, Operations)
Objectively fast
The goals for the new and improved Hela after being on the market for 7 years are: make it softer (and more comfortable to grab), improved the shape (more surface area for throw control) and with a new resistance to sinking in the water.
Make it sing
to the tune of 2.4GHz. So much data, so little time. The Hela 2.0 Sensor would come packed with a gyroscope, accelerometer and magnetometer. Sent to your smart phone or whaterever, it'll tell you how accurate that last throw to your partner is before they drop it.
